Beth Rene (Simmons) Campbell, 26, passed away Saturday October 4, 2008, in Freeport, Texas. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2008, at Weathersbee-Ray Chapel with Bro. Chunky Nelms officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Beth was born April 14, 1982, in Dallas. She moved to Rotan when she was in the eighth grade and was raised by her loving grandmother, Betty Simmons. Beth graduated from Rotan High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was an excellent artist and was always able to express herself through painting, writing and poetry. She was self-employed as a hair stylist and enjoyed using her artistic talents to perfect her skills. Beth married the love of her life, Jon Campbell at San Angelo on August 30, 2008. They truly adored one another and enjoyed spending time together and making each other happy. Their most treasured times were sitting on their back deck and just talking and laughing. Beth was an extremely loving person with the inner beauty of an angel. Beth is survived by her husband, Jon Campbell; her grandmother, who gave her so many beautiful qualities, Betty Simmons; father, Jim Simmons; the family of Gene and Paula Campbell; mother-in-law, Reha Campbell and numerous friends that were lucky enough to know, truly understand and love her. In loving memory of my "Boodah" and my "Baby Squatch."
