BORGER - Final rites for James W. Smyth, 72, who died Saturday night in North Plains Hospital, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in Central Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Isom Lodge 1242 AF&AM here. Arrangements are by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mr. Smith [sic], a retired independent oil field driller, had resised in Borger since 1929.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, James G. of Lubbock and two grandchildren.

Services were held at 4 p.m. for Mrs. Mary Self Smyth, 78, at the Central Baptist Church. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Smyth died Sunday. She had lived in Borger since 1929. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, a brother, a sister, and two grandchildren. Her husband, James W., died in April 1973.
Pallbearers were Weldon Smith, James Johnson, H.W. DeShields, Leonard Neill, Leonard Foster and James McMahan.
