*Obituary
John H. Snyder, 65, of 501 W. LaSalle, Fritch, died Friday afternoon in St. Anthony's Hospital of Amarillo.

A retired shop teacher at Sanford Fritch High School, Mr. Snyder was a native of Stratford, and a resident of Fritch for the past 25 years.

A veteran of the army in World War II, he was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch, and Texline Masonic Lodge 1135.

Mr. Snyder married Virginia Odell at Alanreed, Texas, in 1943.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia of the home; a son, Robert Snyder of Amarillo; three daughters, Martha Barton of Amarillo; Glorianna Kenner of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Loretta Cornelius of California; three brothers, Everett Snyder of Payson, Ariz.; Jewell Snyder of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and R.A. Snyder of Groom; a sister, Mary Crutcher of Lefors and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Trusler, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery with Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
