DALHART - Charlene Spillman, 86, died Monday, April 6, 2009, in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart with Steve Patterson, minister, officiating.
Burial will be held at 4 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger. Arrangements are under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart.
Charlene McNeeley was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Channing, to Mac and Rosa (Perkins) McNeeley. She was raised in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle where her dad was a Methodist preacher traveling in a horse and buggy.
Charlene came to Dalhart in 1950 and worked for Dallam County Motor Company until she left Dalhart in 1954. In 1982 she returned to Dalhart. Charlene attended Central United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Kenneth Ormon, her second husband E.B. Wadkins, great-granddaughter Andrea Leigh Ann Ormon, and her dog Shady.
Survivors include her husband Dudley Spillman of Dalhart; a son Rodney and wife Donna Ormon of Sanford, a grandson Phillip Ormon of Abilene; two great-grandsons, Xan Ormon of Abilene and James Ormon of Sanford; and her dog Sady of Dalhart.
