*Obituary
FRITCH - Loura D'Aun Stafford, 54, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Celebration Family Church in Fritch with the Rev. Dwight Kirksey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in "The Garden of Hope" at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Loura was born Aug. 18, 1955, in Groom to D'Arman and Ruby Peabody. She married M.L. "Jake" Stafford on March 5, 1994, in Red River, N.M. She was a homemaker, had a passion for animals, loved fishing, camping, old movies and being with her friends. Loura was the best pie maker this side of heaven.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Comer.
Survivors include her husband, M.L. "Jake" Stafford; her father, D'Arman Peabody of Fritch; a brother, Danny Peabody of Seattle; two sisters, Suzanne Baker and husband James of Borger and Debbie Garcia and husband Prexie of Galveston; numerous nieces an nephews; and three great-nieces.
The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, in care of BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
