S.J. McClure, 68, Retired Farmer Dies at Rotan
Rotan - S.J. McClure, 68, a retired farmer, died at Callan Hospital here a 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
He was born in Oklahoma and moved to Fisher County in 1906.
He married Lula Keener in Fisher County in 1913.
Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church at Roby. Burial will be at Roby Cemetery with Weathersbee Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Pat of Rotan, H.A. of Los Angeles, CA, Jack of Onida, S.D. and James of Fort Pierre, S.D., five daughters, Mrs. Charles Webb of Roby, Mrs. H.T. Neves of Roby, Mrs. L.D. Byrd of Odessa, Mrs. Marvin Nystrum of Brookings, S.D., and Mrs. Bud Spiel of Eagle Inn, S.D.; four sisters, Mrs. Tom Cooper of Andrews, Mrs. J.C. Lutrell of Alamogordo, NM, and Mrs. Virgil Weems of Portales, NM; one brother Pete of Roby; 19 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
