FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. PHIPPS WEDNES.

Mrs. Floyd Phipps of Jones Prairie died at her home, at 9:15 p. m. Tuesday, January 31, 1950, after a four months illness.
Mrs. Phipps was born July 20, 1895 at Corinth and had resided in Milam County all her life. She was married to Floyd Phipps September 13, 1914 and they had made their home in the Jones Prairie community for the past 37 years.
She was a lifelong members of the Baptist Church and was an active worker in all community activities.
Her survivors include her husband, two sons: Glen Phipps of Cameron and Ralph Phipps of Shreveport, La., two daughters: Mrs. L. A. Patillo of Houston and Mrs. Curtis Lowe of Shreveport,La. She is also survived by two brothers: Joe Aycock of Houston and Milton Aycock of Waco, one sister, Mrs. Pierce Strickland of Bryan and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stanley E. Ray,pastor,at Little River Baptist Church at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday. Burial was made in the Little River Cemetery, with Green's Funeral Home making the arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Rodney Fontaine, E. B. Yager, J. H. McNeill, Robert Glenn, Julian Burnett and Hugh Kinney.
