*Obituary for Cecil
Funeral services for Cecil J. Sweeney, 62, of 702 Montana, area resident since 1926, are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday from Church of Christ. Charles Whitmire, minister, will officiate.
Sweeney was a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, since June 1963, after 37 years of service. He was a process supervisor at the time of retirement.
He died at 7 p.m. Sunday in North Plains Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Ada; son, Phillip Ray of Denver; three brothers, Arthur of Phillips, Ray of Borger, Charlie of Big Spring; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes and Mrs. Anna Ruth Hargis of Phillips, Mrs. Rachael Young of Abilene; two grandchildren.
Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park will be under direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
Casketbearers are Willie Cook, W.W. Ford, C.H. Sparks, B.N. Buford, Roy Holmes, Lonnie Cates.
Borger Fractionator employees will be honorary casketbearers.

*Obituary for Ada
AMARILLO - Funeral services for Ada Sweeney, 84, Amarillo, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Park Church of Christ with Mr. Stewart Gillespie, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Sweeney died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1990, in Westgate Nursing Home.
A native of Kent Push, Okla., she had been a Borger resident since 1927.
She was a retired owner of Grandma's Corner in Borger, and a first kindergarten teacher at Phillips. She was a member of the Johnson Park Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sweeney in 1965.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Sweeney of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Cindy Sweeney of Amarillo; and Susan Byrd of Tulsa, Okla.
Pallbearers will be Roy Lively, Judge Lummus, Vernon Litterell, Bert Bass, Bill Buford, and Claude Robinson.
