Eugene "Babe" Sharp
Rotan - Eugene "Babe" Sharp, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2001, in a Plainview nursing home. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev.Dutch Parks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roby Cemetery.
Mr. Sharp was born in Dublin and married Rena Lee. He worked for the City of Rotan for many years and did work for local farmers. Mr. Sharp was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the VFW. He was a veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rena Lee of Rotan, four stepdaughters, Rosie Isabel, June Mahors, Evelyn Moore and Pam Moore, all of Plainview; two sisters; Zada Goodwin and Leota O'Briant both of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
