Mrs. Minnie C. (Ryan) Clawson passed from this life Monday afternoon, August 7, 2017, in Galveston.
Born February 12, 1925 in Galveston, Mrs. Clawson had been a lifelong resident of the area.
She had worked as an office clerk with Southwestern Bell for 20 years, in addition to working for the gas company in Galveston. Minnie was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking seafood and fruitcakes and had a giving heart, always doing for others. She used to water ski at the Galveston Ski Club and she loved her fur babies, Maggie and PePe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete M. and Minnie Bertha (Koch) Ryan; husband, Robert Leonard “Pud” Clawson; son, Robin Lynn Clawson; brothers, Daniel Joseph “Joe” Ryan, William Ryan, Pete Ryan, Jack Ryan and Jerry Ryan; sister, Margie McInernie.
Survivors include her children, Earl Wills of Santa Fe, Lynda and Glen Stubblefield of Texas City, Robert and Elizabeth Dushman of Deer Park; stepchildren, R. L. Clawson, Jr. and Phillip Clawson of Austin; Judy Clawson and Everett Cone of Lucedale, Mississippi, Joyce Slayton Dushman of Pasadena; sister, Maureen and Clint Brown of La Marque; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend John Kappe officiating. Entombment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Denman, Bobby Dushman, Jr., Jerry Johnson, Robert Rion, Bobby Wills and Earl Wills, III. Honorary bearer will be Clint Brown.
Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.

BAYOU VISTA - Mr. Robert L. “Pud” Clawson, Sr., born June 28, 1934, passed from this life Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2016, in Galveston.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Minnie Clawson; children, Lynda Stubblefield and husband, Glen of Texas City, Robert Dushman and wife, Elizabeth of Deer Park, Judy Clawson Cone and husband, Everett of Luce Dale, MS, R.L. Clawson, Jr. and Phillip Clawson of Austin, Joyce Slayton Dushman of Pasadena, Earl Wills of Santa Fe; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
