Raymond A. Tiede
BORGER - Raymond A. Tiede, 74, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Fred Kelm, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Tiede was born in Parkston, S.D. He lived in Borger from 1946 to 1960. He returned to Borger in 1972 from Bartlesville, Okla. He graduated from Yankton College in Yankton, S.D.
He married Maxine L. Haag in 1944 at Parkston. They did volunteer work for the Department of Human Services. Mrs. Tiede died in 1996. He also was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Tiede, in 1953.
He worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He did the stained glass windows at the church.
Mr. Tiede served with the Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Alan Tiede of Borger; a daughter, Joan Gordon of Borger; a brother, Kenneth Tiede of Minneapolis; a sister, Helen Henderson of Derby, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Trinity Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
