BORGER - Hattie Mae Toney, 85, died Thursday, March 30, 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Toney was born in Caney, Okla., and moved to Borger in 1942 from Atoka, Okla. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener, being a past winner of the Beautiful Yard Award.
She married William Omar Toney in 1933 at Strington, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997 and by a daughter, June Lummus, in 1962.
Survivors include two sons, W.L.Toney and James Toney, both of Borger; two daughters, Pat Sue Vaughn of Sherman and Jane Price of New Braunfels; two brothers, Roy Spriggs of Summers, Ark., and J.R. Spriggs of Pasadena; two sisters, Pearl Clark of Bristow, Okla., and Daisy Wells of Topeka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
