Services for Lottie E. Leatherwood, 98, of Crosbyton were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Leatherwood passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 in the Crosbyton Hospital. She was born January 28, 1908 in Wise County, Texas to the late Arthur George and Mary Alice (Hodge) Barnett. December 7, 1932 she married C. B. "Bud" Leatherwood in Plainview, Texas. He preceded her in death April 2, 1974. A homemaker, Lottie moved to Crosbyton in 1920 from Wise County on a train. She was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Lottie was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Leatherwood, who passed away Sept. 24, 1997.

She is survived by a daughter; Janelle Sellers of Ralls, a daughter-in-law; Carolyn Leatherwood of Lubbock, two sisters; Elsie Steen of Lake Forest, California and Lucille Blankenship of McAllen, four grandchildren; Charles Leatherwood, Loraine Sellers, Jan Swinford and Patti Dycus, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church.
