BARBARA JEAN (HANSON) HOOPER age 75 of Alvin, Texas passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Kindred Hospital Clear Lake, Webster, Texas. Barbara was born on May 7, 1939 to Charles V. and Adeline Hanson in Port Arthur, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 50 years. She was a co-owner/bookkeeper for JMB Tire and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alvin. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Benny Hooper, daughter, Rose Reed and husband, Randy, son, Alan Hooper, sisters, Connie Owen, Rita Bourn, brother, Donald Hanson, grandchildren, Lindsey, Jared and Lauren Reed, Sydnie Hart, Christa Solle and husband, Damon, Scott Reed, great grandchildren, Christian and Jonathan Solle, numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Special Olympics.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Scott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.
