*Obituary
Elsie Vinyard, 58, Borger, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 1990, in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Dr. Gary Miller, pastor of First Baptist Church and the Rev. Kenneth Sheppard, pastor of Faith Covenant Church, officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
A native of Amarillo, she had been a Borger resident for 40 years. She was an employee at Mr. Treat Doughnuts for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald of the home; four sons, Robert Vinyard, Gary Vinyard and Wesley Vinyard, all of Borger; and Mike Vinyard of Amarillo; one daughter, Janet Howard of Borger; six brothers, Pete Barton, Onyce Barton, Wesley Barton, Tommy Barton and George Barton, all of Amarillo, and Royce Barton of Dallas; five sisters, Helen Dixon, Ruth Hale and Peggy Bull, all of Amarillo, Myrtice Chase of Odessa, and Opal Howerton of San Antonio; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hartwell Dingus, Bill Carder, Lewis Reyher, Larry Kossey, George Stratton and Jack Taylor.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church organ fund, Eye Plains Eye Bank or St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
