Borger News Herald - July 28, 1989
Josie Alice Wakefield, 72, 117 Abilene, died at 1:40 a.m. today in St. Ann's Nursing Center in Panhandle.
Funeral services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
A native of Ripley County, Mo., she had been a Borger resident for 50 years. She was a homemaker, and member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Panhandle.
Survivors include a son, Bob Wakefield of Borger; a daughter, Betty Vermillion of Borger; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle.
