Frances Roberta Wallace
February 7, 1935 - August 19, 2018

Frances Roberta Wallace was born February 7th, 1935 in Borger, Texas to Robert Newell and Frances Augusta Guise Smith.

Roberta was baptized in the Calvary Baptist Church in April of 1949. She married Richard Wayne Wallace in December of 1952. She and Richard remained in Borger and were an active members of Calvary for many years. After moving to Lubbock to be near their daughter, Vicki Denny, and after Richard's passing, she joined the Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2013; her mother, Frances Smith, in 1997; her father, Newell Smith, in 2004, and her sister, Lou Ella Smith Tindall, in 2008.

When Roberta was not raising her family, you could find her on the golf course. Having a life-long passion for knowledge and reading, she later attended Frank Phillips Junior College where she earned an Associate’s Degree.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lea Denny, and her husband, David, of Lubbock; Her son, Dr. Robert Wallace, and his wife Dr. Rosemary Wallace of Abilene; her daughter, Connie Chilton, and her husband, Dr. J Carl Chilton of Borger; her sister, Joyce Scott, and her husband, Oscar of Amarillo; her brother, Alvis Roger Smith of Stinnett, and her brother, Alan Newell Smith of Borger; her granddaughter, Misti Denny Garcia of Canyon Lake, Texas; her grandson, Ryan Denny of Houston, Texas; her granddaughter, Emily Codding of Jonestown, Texas, and her granddaughter, Jamie Cummings of Cotton Center, Texas.

Roberta was also loved by several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
