Services for Doris Norris Graham, 77, of Lubbock and formerly of Ralls will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Adams Funeral Home
in Ralls with Tim Mills officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery. She passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Oct. 27, 1927 in Itasca to Robert N. and Claudius Crouch Irvin. On Feb. 23, 1950, she married Gene Norris in Lubbock. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 1984. On July 8, 1991, she married June Graham in Alpine. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2002.
She was a member of Emma Church of Christ in Ralls. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and her Master's Degree in Special Education from Texas Tech University, and taught home economics in Dimmitt, 5th grade in Idalou, 2nd grade and special education in Lorenzo, and homebound students and special education in Ralls. She was a lifetime member of the State Teacher's Association and a member of the Prairie Thimble Quilting Bee.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Irvin; a sister, Lucille Thomas; and stepson, Clay Graham.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Norris of Lubbock, Norman Norris and wife Teresa of Ralls, Walt Norris and wife Reba of Lorenzo, and Scott Norris and wife Debbie of Ralls; two stepsons, Kelly Graham and wife Gayle of Santa Fe N.M., and Keith Graham of Alpine; a sister, Janice Ashley of Hale Center; eight grandchildren, Nick Norris, Lisa Burns, Alan Norris, Rusty Norris, Leslie Norris, Stacy Norris, Toni Norris and Kyla Norris; and a great-grand-daughter, Lauren Burns.
