Rosemary Watkins
December 5, 1926 - October 25, 2015
Rosemary Watkins, 88, died October 25, 2015 at her home in Houston. Her Service of Celebration will be Friday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Borger with Pastor Pam Lehman and Former Pastor Archie Echols officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Rosemary was born December 5, 1926 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and lived in Borger from 1944 until 2013. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Borger where she married J B Watkins June 30, 1946. She served on the church Parsonage Committee for 14 years. Rosemary was a Charter member of the Adelante Federated Club, past member of Borger Children's Home Board and a Red Cross Volunteer.
She is survived by her son Steve Watkins and his wife Sue of Houston, her daughter Debbie Battle of Panhandle, five grandchildren; Christian Battle, Hunter Battle, Angie Watkins Buck and her husband Shane, Kate Watkins and Emily Watkins and three great-grandchildren Garrett Buck, Ava Buck and Luke Battle.
The family expresses their sincere thanks and gratitude to Sara Montes, Reina Henriguez and Gaye Andrus for their great care and friendship for Rosemary during the last fourteen months.
In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to the First United Methodist Church at 200 N. McGee, Borger, TX 79007.
