Services for Pauline Long Ormon, 95, of Woodstock, Georgia and formerly Lorenzo, Texas will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Golden officiating. Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Pauline passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in Marrietta, Georgia. She was born Aug. 4, 1911 in Grow, Texas to the late M. E. and Maud (Chalk) Long. On March 14, 1930 she married R. L. Ormon in Canyon. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1998.

She was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. Pauline taught school in McAdoo, Texas for two years from 1931 to 1933, in 1934 she moved to Crosbyton and taught third grade there for five years. In 1941 she moved to Magdalena, N.M., but moved back to Lorenzo in 1941 where she taught school for 15 years. She was a charter member of the Lorenzo Country Club and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband were honored for outstanding contributions to the Crosby County communities on Aug. 15, 1987 at the West Texas Pioneer and Old Settlers Reunion.

Pauline was preceded in death by a son who died at birth.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Dixie and Steve Mills of Woodstock, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Dan Harmonson of Midland; two grandsons, Dan and his wife Tammy Mills, and Sam Mills and a great grandchild, Zora Edna Mills; two nephews, Peter and David Harmonson, and a niece Paula Duncan.
