Services for Nellie Estell Hill, 99, of Brownfield will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at Brownfield First Baptist Chapel with Ernest Smith officiating. Burial will be in Terry Co. Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Nell passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 in Brownfield. She was born Dec. 24, 1907 in Jacksonville, Ala. to Arthur and Julia Ponder Lusk. She attended Lou School in Dawson County. She married Howard Hill June 28, 1925 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1987. She and her husband farmed in the Union and Scuddy Communities in Terry County for many years. Nell loved quilting and crafts. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a member of Tate Street Church of Christ. Nell was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward H. and James D. Hill; three sisters and a brother. Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.

She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Bearden and her husband Homer of Brownfield; two sisters, Ada McCarty of Grapevine and Cliffie Heasley of McClean; ten grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren.
