*Obituary Esker
Esker Wayne Whitson, 81, Borger, died Monday, Nov. 13, 1995 in North Plains Care Center, Borger.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Fellowship with the Rev. Norman Schuman, pastor, and the Rev. David Miller, assisting.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Lamar County, he had been a Borger resident since 1945. He was a custodian for J.M. Huber Corp., and a member of Abundant Life Fellowship.

He married Linnie Albright on May 13, 1933, in Mudsand, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dalford Lee Whitson of Borger; and Wayne Whitson of San Antonio; a brother, John Cornie Whitson of Pampa; a sister, Lucille Lambro of Realto, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 300 S. McGee, 79007.

Linnie Whitson, 84, died Friday, Sept. 18, at Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Borger with the Rev. Norman Shuman officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Beatitudes.

Pall bearers were Audie Hatton, Frank Hopson, Travis Roden, Gene Majors, Joe Lynn Minton and Joey Woods.

Mrs. Whitson had been a Borger resident since 1945 and was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Esker Wayne Whitson, in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Dalford Whitson of Borger and Wayne Whitson of San Antonio; three sisters, Vera Roden of Borger, Winnie Petty of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mildred Hatcher of Norman, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will be staying at 100 Avalon in Borger.
