*Obituary
Jean Wilkerson 72, died Thursday May 29, 1997 in Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday May 31 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Bill Houghton, former Rector of St. Peter's, will officiate and the Rev. James Liggett will assist.
Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Brown's Funeral Directors of Borger.
Born in New York City, N.Y., she grew up in Winfield, Kansas. She married Bill Wilkerson in 1950 and the couple lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Odessa before moving to Borger in 1958. She was a former employee of the Hutchinson County Public Library and Cominco.
She was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir for many years and also served in a variety of leadership positions. She was a very active member of Paragon Club.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Borger; two daughters, Kathleen Liggett of Big Spring and Susan Wilkerson of Arlington, Va. and one grandson, Will Liggett.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 138, Borger, Texas 79008.
Casket bearers will be R. L. Stillwell, Earl Hunter, Clinton Clarke, Rob Hall, Norris Mitchell and Dr. Vic Maza.
