Nelda Bell Pevey 82 of Ralls passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at her residence.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 10, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Ralls, with the Rev. Deke Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.

Nelda was born May 6, 1931 in Lorenzo Texas to Rufus Dennis and Lena McKinley McCauley. She married Elmer Pevey on April 16, 1952 in Graham Texas. He passed away May 16, 1980. Nelda graduated from Idalou High School in 1949 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ralls. She loved her family and friend and was especially fond of her granddog Maggie Mae.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Elmer Dale, David DeWayne, and Bobby Wayne Pevey.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Pevey and his wife Carol of Lubbock, Gary Pevey and his wife Linda of Honey Grove. Four daughters Ruby Pevey of Idalou, Diane Sue and her husband Floyd of Ralls, Shelly Pevey of Ralls and Glenda Maroney and husband Jackie of Honey Grove. One sister, Dorothy Wooten and husband Eddie of Crosbyton. She had 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a very special family friend Dana Appleton.
