*Obituary
Funeral services for Mary E. Yates, 67, 1303 Stephens, Borger, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Trussell, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
She died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1988 in Rio Grand Regional Hospital at McAllen.
A housewife, she was a native of Mercer County, Missouri and a Borger resident since 1947. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and W.S.C.S.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Yates of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dick McGehee of Norman, Okla.; and a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Fran Yates of Borger; two brothers, C.E. Hammond and Bill Eldon Hammond, both of Missourri [sic]; and four grandchildren.
Casket bearers were Bob Schnell, Marc Poulain, Jeff Porter, Troy Henley, Bill Ramsay and James Roberts.
