Howard Arthur Yeager
August 12, 1928 - August 8, 2016
Howard Arthur Yeager, 87 of Stinnett died Monday, August 8, 2016 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 12 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Sharalyn Larsen, of First Christian Church of Fritch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Howard was born August 12, 1928 in Stockton, CA to Delores Marie (Whaley) and Albert Phillip Yeager. He was a self-employed mechanic. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He married Betty Sims on March 8, 1978 in Clayton, NM. He was a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge #1242. Howard has lived in the Borger, Fritch, and Stinnett area since 1946. He loved to read, and loved sports, especially Texas Ranger's baseball.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Betty, sons, Mike Yeager and Mark Parker, and his sister, Opal.
He is survived by his sons, Dwayne Yeager and wife, Dianna of Stinnett, Mike Parker of New Braunfels, TX, and Miles Parker of Rockport, TX; daughter, Donna Sue Huddleston and husband, Allen of Borger, and Betty Lou Caddel and husband, Doug of Perryton; brother, Albert Francis of Dewey, AZ; sister Helen Nally of Eric, KS; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Betty Jean Yeager, 81, died Friday March 8, 2013 in Borger. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the 1st Christian Church in Fritch with Rev. Sharalyn Larsen, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Betty was born November 29, 1931 in Hartley, Texas to Miles Shafter Sims and Edith Kirkland Sims. She came to this area in 1972 and was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Fritch. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Quiros and at the Hutchinson County Museum. She married Howard Arthur Yeager March 8, 1978 in Clayton, NM. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #811, Home Demonstration Club and was Woman of the Year for the Home Extension Club. She loved quilting, bridge club, cooking and playing with her grandchildren and she also collected spoons.
She was preceded in death by two sons Mark Parker and Mike Yeager, two brothers and one sister.
Betty is survived by her husband of 35 years Howard, three sons Mike Parker of New Braunfels, TX, Miles Parker of Rockport, TX and Mike Yeager and wife Dianna of Stinnett, two daughters Betty Lou Caddel and husband Doug of Perryton and Donna Sue Huddleston and husband Allen of Borger, two brothers Ray Sims of Amarillo and David Sims of Dumas, three sisters Gwen Lockhart of Dalhart, Nora Reed of Sunray and Judy Kirk of Odessa, 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter.
Casket bearers will be Lane Parker, Robin Parker, Mark A. Parker, David Parker, Jeremy Yeager and Coby Yeager. Honorary bearers will be Daman Yeager, Shawn Snider, Eric Huddleston, Aaron Huddleston, Chris Caddel and Jerrod Parker.
