FRITCH - Herbert C. York, 76, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Fox of Vista Care Hospice officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. York was a Fritch resident for 27 years after moving from Stinnett. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Mickey York of Fritch; two daughters, Janice Brown of Amarillo and Tonya Speed of Fritch; two sisters, Virginia Carter of Oklahoma and Clara Hunter of California; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
