Obituary:
Florence Mae Roots GILLESPIE, 88, died May 13, 2005 at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Follett with Rev. Dan Carter and, Shannon Gillespie officiating. Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, under the direction of Mason Funeral Horne of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

She was born March 5, 1917 in Harper County, Oklahoma, and graduated from Rosston High School in 1936. She married Virgil GILLESPIE on December 31, 1935 in Ashland, Kansas.

She lived most of her life in Follett, where she was a homemaker and manager of the Follett school cafeteria. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976.

She is survived by five children, Jim GILLESPIE of Dumas, Beverly SCHNEIDER of Perryton, Sylvian GILLESPIE of Roswell, New Mexico, Karen LEAGUE of Enid, Oklahoma and Jordy GILLESPIE of Sweetwater; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Follett.
