Lubbock- Jean Ann Hamilton, 78, of Lubbock, passed away on August 5, 2018.

A visitation for Jean will be held, Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018, 2:00 PM at Lone Star Cowboy Church. Burial will follow the next day at Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, TX at 2PM.

Jean was born on April 16, 1940 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Noble and Madelene Brown. Jean graduated from Follett High School in 1958 then she attended and graduated Lab Technician school the following year in St. Louis, Missouri and worked in Lubbock as a Lab Technician for many years until retirement. Jean loved her family time and especially enjoyed going to the family cabin in Colorado.

Jean is survived by her daughter, J'Non and husband, Steve Gage of Lubbock, son, Brian and wife, Terri Hamilton of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren Rachel Acosta and Grant McNiel, both of Lubbock; and brother, Nolan Brown of Canyon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Hamilton, both parents, Noble and Madelene Brown; and sister, Sandra Brown.

The Hamilton family would like to thank the staff at Porch Swing Assisted Living and Brookdale Grand Court for their loving care of our mom.
