*Obituary
Funeral services for Leslie W. Barkley, 71, who died Saturday in Amarillo after an illness, are at 2 p.m. Monday in the Ed Brown and Sons Chapel of the Fountains, the Rev. Paul Burleson of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Barkley was a dirt contractor and owned and operated a business in Borger for several years. He had lived in the area since 1939. He lived at 922 Nelson St.

Survivors include the widow, Earlean; three sons, Charles, Joe and Earl Barkley, all of Borger; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Herdman of Brownwood, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Ada White of Pampa and Mrs. Gladys Barden of Alice, Tex.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.
