Memorial services for Colene "Cody" Fulford, 79, of Brownfield will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land officiating. Burial will be in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Cody passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 in Lubbock. She was born December 10, 1928 in Tahoka to Condie and Gladys Carmack. She graduated from Tahoka High School. Cody married W. A. "Dub" Fulford on June 1, 1946. They moved to Brownfield in 1957. Cody devoted her life to serving others. She brought light to many lives with her grace and compassion. She loved spending time working outside and enjoying her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Cody was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Lee Dysart.

Cody is survived by her husband, Dub of Brownfield; two daughters, Lee Fulford of Brownfield and Fran Ebel and husband Michael of Bellwood, Neb.; sister, Marilyn McPhaul of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Teresa Porter and husband Paul, Trent Darby, Bonnie Dykstra and husband Curtis, Amanda Weeder and husband Mark, Robin Ebel, and Jeremiah Ebel; and three great-grandchildren.

W.A. "Dub" Fulford, 87, formerly of Brownfield passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 in Lubbock. He was born January 18, 1925 to John and Hattie Lou Fulford in Lynn County. He graduated from Tahoka High School in 1942. He attended Texas Tech University. He was a WWII US Army Veteran. He served in the Southwest Pacific and received the Purple Heart. Dub married Colene "Cody" Carmack on June 1, 1946 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death in 2008. The moved from Tahoka to Brownfield in 1957. Dub was a ginner and farmer. He was associational Brotherhood president while in Tahoka First Baptist Church. In Brownfield, he served on the ASCS Committee, the Advisory Board of the National Cotton Council and was a non-industry board member of the American Petroleum Institute. Dub was a member of the Rotary Club and Brownfield First Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Johnnie Ellis and Donnie Redwine.

Dub is survived by two daughters, Lee Fulford of Lubbock and Fran Ebel and husband Michael of Bellwoood, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren; Teresa Porter and husband Paul, Bonnie Dykstra and husband Curtis, Amanda Weeder and husband Mark, Robin Ebel and Jeremiah Ebel; 5 great-grandchildren.
