Mary Olga Barrios, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday April 24, 2015 at Templo Nuevo Vida in Ralls, Texas. Services will be held at 10 am on Saturday April 25, 2015 at Templo Nuevo Vida with Rev. Eddie Chavarria officiating. Burial will follow at Ralls Cemetery.

Mrs. Barrios was born June 7, 1948 in Raymonsville, Texas to Guadalupe and Selia Alvarez. She was married in 1967 to Rene Barrios Sr. in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mary was a strong, loving woman and a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Barrios enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had quite a sense of humor and was always making people laugh.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Rene Barrios Sr. and her parents Guadalupe and Selia Alvarez.

She is survived by her two daughters; Isabel Velasquez and husband Chris of Plainview, Christina Barrios of Lubbock; her three sons; Frank Barrios and wife Nina of Plainview, Rene Barrios Jr. of Lubbock, and Marcus Barrios and wife Amy of Shallowater; her brother Guadalupe Alvarez Jr. and wife Carol of Petersburg; her sisters; Maria Alvarez of Lubbock, Virginia Alvarez of Ralls, and Michelle Lavander and husband Lanny of Houston; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great- great- grandchild.
