Earlene Faulkenberry, 88, of Brownfield passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 in Wolfforth. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruby Moultrie officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Earlene was born on August 19, 1920 in Eastland County to Earl and Lillie Brown. She married Tim Faulkenberry on August 25, 1941 in Loraine, TX. Together they moved to Brownfield in 1951, where they opened their animal hospital in 1955. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2008. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Stars.

Earlene is survived by 3 sons; Dr. Tim L. Faulkenberry of Austin, James E. Faulkenberry and his wife Terry of Abilene and Jerry T. Faulkenberry of Ft. Worth; her daughter, Judy Faulkenberry of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and her sister, Juanita Hicks of Belton.

Services for Tim Garland Faulkenberry, 88, of Brownfield will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruby Moultrie officiating.

Tim passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 in Wolfforth. He was born August 2, 1920 in Mitchell County to James Aaron and Ollie Edna Davis Faulkenberry. He graduated from Loraine High School in 1938. Tim married Earlene Brown on August 25, 1941 in Colorado City,Texas. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific as an infantry Scout in combat. He then attended Texas A&M University and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1951. He graduated in the top ten of his class. That same year, Tim and his wife moved to Brownfield and set up their practice. They built their animal hospital in 1955.

He was a life member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Tim had been a member of Lions International for 58 years and a member of the Noon Lions Club for 50 years. He was a Charter Member of the Loraine Lions Club. Tim had been given two life memberships to the Lion's Club Crippled Children's Camp for donations and work to help the camp. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years. He worked with the Girl Scocuts as a community board member. Tim had served on the board of First Unitd Methodist Church for 21 years. He was a trustee for the Brownfield Independent School District and for the Texas Association of School Boards. He donated his time to the Terry County Junior Livestock shows for 37 years, providing free health papers for entrants. Tim was a member of Brownfield First United Methodist Church, where he was past chairman of the Worship Committee, trustee for the church property, member of the sanctuary choir and the finance committee.

His greatiest joy had been to see his children graduate college and achieve successful careers. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and watch them grow.

Tim was preceded in death by two sisters, Maudeline and Pauline,4 brothers, Sam, David, Forrest,Arnold Lee and 2 half brothers, J.A. and Thomas Faulkenberry.

Tim is survived by his wife, Earlene;three sons, Dr. Tim L.Faulkenberry of Austin,James E. Faulkenberry and wife Terry of Abilene, and Jerry T. Faulkenberry of Ft. Worth;a daughter, Judy Faulkenberry of Lubbock;eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Hester Faulkenberry of El Paso; and one sister, Voncille Ball of Boyd.
