Patsy Loucille “Lou” Farr, 78, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Funeral service with Rev. Melinda Lane officiating will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2PM in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Arrangements are under the care of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Lou was born on January 19, 1938 in Breckenridge to the late Thelma and Bruner Thurman. She married James David “Jim” Farr who was the love of her life and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Covenant Tabernacle Church, and had assisted her husband in the operation of his radio stations.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda and her husband, Bill Baker Jr. of Austin; son, James Loyd “Gus” Farr and wife, Rebecca of Lantana; granddaughters, Courtney Roberts and Kelsy Jones; and four great-grandchildren; brothers and their wives, BA and Kathy Thurman, Tuffy and Susan Thurman, Harry and Judy Thurman; sister-in-law, Cookie Thurman, and niece, Roxi Thurman Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Teddy and Tex; and a sister, Carrie Ann.
