Funeral services for Jodie E. Brock, 52, who suffered a fatal heart attack at 2:45 a.m. Saturday will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Charles E. McDowell, pastor, officiating.

Brock lived at the Haile Lease, 12 miles northeast of Borger where he was stricken with the attack. He had been a resident of Hutchinson county the past 20 years.

He was employed by the Stanoline Oil and Gas Company and was a member and past Grand of Odd Fellows Lodge 94. He was also a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Sam Langford, Levelland, Mrs. Gerald Crupper, Levelland, Mrs. Jerry Barnett, Dumas and Patricia Brock of the home.

Other survivors include one son Jodie E. Brock, Jr. of Stinnett; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Brasher of Rising Star and a brother R.L. Brock of Haskell, and eight grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hallie Brock, 70, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Magic Plains Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Gateway Baptist Church, with Rev. William S. Hobson, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Charles McDowell.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Simpson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brock was born July 20, 1905, in Mount Pleasant. She came to Borger in 1934 from Haskell. Her husband, Jodie Brock, Sr., preceded her in death in 1955.

She was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church of Levelland.

Survivors include one son, Jodie Jr., of Borger; four daughters, Mrs. Sam Langford and Mrs. G.L. Crupper, both of Levelland, Mrs. Jerry Barnette of Borger and Mrs. Damon Stotts of Lubbock; three brothers, Clarence Mercer of Austin, James and E.B. Mercer, both of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Hunter of Amarillo and Mrs. Art Wall of Morton; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary and Larry Crupper, Joe and Mike Barnette, Eddie Langford, David Campbell, and Greg and Jeff Stotts.
