Benigno Rico Carrillo
May 2, 1934 - March 29, 2016
Benigno Rico Carrillo, 81, of Borger, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Borger.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Grace Church with Pastor Aaron Smith of Dallas, Texas, officiating, and Pastor Tim Hall of Grace assisting. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Family will be at 1001 Lee Street in Borger.
Benigno Rico Carrillo was born May 2, 1934 in Guerrero Chihuahua, Mexico to Eugenio and Engracia (Rico) Carrillo. He moved to Borger in 1964, from Mexico, and was a mechanics helper, truck driver, and a rancher in Morse. Benigno also worked a lot in construction. On January 5, 1965 he married Luisa Tobar in Borger.
Survivors include a son Eugene Carrillo and wife Keri of Borger; eight daughters, Juanita Wallace and husband Eugene, Mary Davis and husband Rick, Elia Smith and husband Stacy, Elida Dickson and husband Marvin, Louisa Munoz and husband Jesus, all of Borger, Elvia Mahon and husband Mark of Amarillo, Elizabeth Scott and husband O.C. of Fort Stewart, Georgia, and Elizabell Bumgarner and husband Jerry of Laveta, Colorado; two sisters, Mari Irene Carrillo, and Chabela Carrillo of Mexico; his brother, Manuel Carrillo of Mexico; 22 grandchildren, including a grandson Robert Blake that he considered and raised as his own son, 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Luisa December 13, 2011, a daughter, Grace Carrillo, and a sister, Nate Carrillo.

Luisa Tobar Carrillo, 75, of Borger, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Amarillo.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Francisco Perez of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pampa officiating. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Minton Memorial Chapel.
Luisa was born August 23, 1936 in Karnes City, Texas to Lino and Josefina Tobar. She moved to Borger in 1964, and was a Catholic, and homemaker. On January 5, 1965 she married Benny Carrillo in Borger, and had worked in janitorial services for the Borger Independent School District for nine years. She loved worshiping, and going to church, dancing and singing with her family, cooking, and giving gifts to everyone. Luisa will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband Benny; a son; Eugene Carrillo and wife Keri of Borger; eight daughters; Juanita Wallace and husband Eugene, Mary Davis and husband Rick, Elia Smith and husband Stacy, Elida Hearon, Louisa Munoz and husband Jesus, all of Borger, Elvia Mahon and husband Mark of Amarillo, Elizabeth Scott and husband O.C. of Wiesbaden Germany, and Elizabell Bumgarner and husband Jerry of Laveta, Colorado; five brothers; Christoval, Lupe, Domingo, Lino, and Martin Tobar; three sisters; Veva Pesina, Sara Sineros, and Andrea Masterson; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Luisa is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Garza; a daughter, Grace Carrillo; a sister, Lupita Rosales; and a brother, Johnny Salinas.
