Services for Erwin Moore, 83, of Brownfield will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Erwin passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Lubbock. He was born January 11, 1926 in Brownfield. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1943. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business at Texas Tech University. He taught High School math for more than 30 years. Erwin married Mary Ellen Patton on June 4, 1949 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death in 2000. He was a WWII Army Veteran and member of the American Legion. He also retired from Air Force Reserves. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Erwin is survived by a daughter, Tricia Moore of Tyler; two sons, Win Moore and wife Janice of Coppell, Mark Moore of Brownfield; a brother, L. G. Moore and wife Lois of Brownfield; sister, Mary Lackey of Lubbock; brother-in-law, Gordon Patton and wife Betty of Brownfield; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Erwin is also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
