After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Pearl Boggs was claimed by death at 1:30 a.m. Friday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She was 82.
Mrs. Boggs, who resided at 315 South Crosby, had been a Crosbyton resident 42 years.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Roy Eason, pastor of the Assembly of God Church.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
The former Pearl Cartwright was born May 28, 1901, in Polk County, Ark. She and Melvin Boggs were married Aug. 17, 1921, in Wolfe City, Tex.
Mr. Boggs preceded his wife in death on March 3, 1963.
Survivors include four sons, C.W. (Chock) Boggs of Farmington, NM, Melvin Boggs of Lubbock, Lawrence Boggs and George Boggs, both of Hereford; two daughters, Melba Foust Bryant of Lawton, Okla., and Mary Ann Phillips of Andrews; two sisters, Myrtle Steen of Crosbyton and Jean Janzen of Liberal, Kan.; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Another daughter, Bobbie Wallace, preceded her mother in death.
