Services for D. L. Jones, 77, of Brownfield will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2007 at Shady Oaks Church of God with Rev. Eugene Ballard officiating. Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the Direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
He passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 in Lubbock. He was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Rogers, Ark. to Earl and Verna Jones. He was raised in Caddo, Texas and moved to Brownfield in 1949. He married Ora Pearl Quinney, Jan. 10, 1953 in Brownfield. He had been employed with the Texas Highway Department for 40 years, retiring in May of 1991. He was a former member of Oddfellows and a member of Shady Oaks Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Pearl; two daughters, Glenda Freeman and her husband Leon and Brenda Snyder and her husband Larry, all of Brownfield; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
