Edward Douglas, 95, of Borger, passed away, Monday, April 22, 2013.

Edward Marvin Douglas was born March 13, 1918 in Texoma, TX. to William H. and Mary Frances (Poer) Douglas. He married Krystyne Heath in Borger, TX. He graduated from Oklahoma State University (OSU) with a degree in engineering and a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Krystyne, two daughters: Jan Powell, Ann Francis, son-in-law: Butch Francis, and a granddaughter: Carla Francis. He is also preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Victoria and Woodson Wadley, and Margaret and Hoyt Buckridge.

Survivors include sister: Frances and William Silver of Denton, TX. grandchildren Mandy and husband Mike Galloway, Christy, Stephanie, Pam, and Melanie, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Highland Cemetery in Borger, TX. with Rev. Paul Burwash officiating.

Mr. Douglas will lie in state in Borger on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 8:00AM – 8:00 PM at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains with family visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers family request Memorials to Fairlanes Baptist Church Youth Department and Children's Church, 3000 Fairlanes Blvd, Borger, TX 79007.

BORGER - Krystyne Douglas, 84, died Sunday March 27, 2005, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Chaddick, pastor of Fairlanes Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel of Amarillo, 8310 S. Coulter St.

Mrs. Douglas was born in Wetumka, Okla. She moved to Borger from Sanford in 1939. She married Edward Douglas in 1956 at Phillips. She worked as a clerk for Phillips Petroleum for about 35 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Powell in 1948; and two daughters, Janice Powell in 2002 and Anita Francis in 2003.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Ione Miller of Denton; a brother, Ronald Heath of Dumas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
