February 27, 1911 - July 11, 1975
Mrs. Melvin (Grace) Brock of Lockney, a former Crosbyton area resident, was found dead Friday afternoon at her home by her husband. A physician placed the time of death at approximately 9 a.m. that day.
Death was attributed to a heart attack. She had been under doctor´s care, members of the family note.
Memorial services for the 64 year old Mrs. Brock were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church in Lockney by the Rev. Hugh Daniel, pastor.
Interment was made Sunday afternoon in Crosbyton Cemetery, beside the grave of a son.
The Brock family has resided on a farm north of Lockney since moving in 1954 from Crosbyton. They resided in this community from 1949 until 1954.
A native of Milford, Grace Brock was a sister of Mrs. John Brock and Mrs. T. G. Kirkendall, both of Crosbyton.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin; two sons, Harold Brock and Byron Brock, both of Lockney; three sisters, Mrs. John Brock and Mrs. T.G. Kirkendall, both of Crosbyton, and Mrs. W. W. McClure of Hillsboro; and five grandchildren.
