Services for Wanda Lou Boen, 78, of Brownfield will be 2pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Brownfield Church of Christ Chapel with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Wanda went to be with her Savior on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Lubbock. She was born July 30, 1934 in Clarksville, Texas. She graduated from Clarksville High School and then attended East Texas State University. She married Don Monzingo on May 24, 1952. He preceded her in death in June of 1981. Wanda then married J.V. Boen on July 2, 1982 in Odessa. He preceded her in death in December 23, 2012. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Richardson; a sister, Barbara Ann Raulston; a step son and his wife, Billy and Zackie Boen. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ.

Wanda is survived by her children, Michael Monzingo and wife Janette of Blue Spring, MO, Donna Owen of Lubbock and Jaydon Boen and wife Cortnee of San Angelo; a step son, Jimmy Boen and wife Debbie of Lubbock; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren; a brother, James Hutchens of Paris.

J.V. Boen BROWNFIELD- J.V. Boen, 86, of Brownfield will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. J.V. passed away at his home in Brownfield on Sunday, December 23, 2012. He was born on January 3, 1926 to Willie Lee W.L. and Irene (Cottrell) Boen in O'Donnell. He graduated from Brownfield High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He married Wanda Monzingo in Odessa. He retired with Halliburton Services. He was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a son and his wife, Billy and Zackie Boen; a stepdaughter, Denise Richardson. J. V. is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wanda of Brownfield; two sons, Jimmy Boen and wife Debbie of Lubbock and Jaydon Boen and wife Courtney of San Angelo; grandchildren, Mundy Boen of Albuquerque, Toby Boen and wife Jane of Lubbock, Misty Boen of Albuquerque, Shane Smith of Houston, Brittany Vaughn and husband Zane of Lubbock; stepchildren, Michael Monzingo of Blue Spring, MO and Donna Owen of Lubbock; six great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
