Funeral services for William Martin Hawkins, 57, who died early yesterday, will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic church with Father Charles A. Knapp, pastor, officiating. Recitation of Rosary will be tonight at 6 p.m. at the Powell Funeral chapel with the Alter Society. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.

Born in Douglas county, Mo., on Oct. 8, 1886, Hawkins had lived in Borger since 1928. He was a charter member of the local carpenters union and served as treasurer for several years. He had also served as business agent.

He is survived by his wife, one son, First Sgt. Francis Hawkins of Fort Benning, Ga.; five daughters, Mrs. Clyde M. Vanderburg of Pampa, Mrs. Fred Lowerthal of Newark, N.J., Mrs. Herbert N. Haddock of Houston, Mrs. Jack Malamphy of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. George Hollman of Springfield, Mo. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ed McCarty of Seattle, Wash., two brothers, Ray Hawkins and Ival Rodgers, both of Borger, and seven grandchildren.

Acting pallbearers will be B.B. Yates, H.N. Pruitt, George Gaiser, L.J. Head, D.M. Prater and Frank Snyder. Honorary pallbearers will include Herman Baumher, E.S. Wicker, Roy Turner, H.W. Leonard, Bill Coppock, George Bethel, Harry Balsey and all other members of the local carpenters union, No. 1201.
