Services for Velma Wilson, 91, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Payne, of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Jimmy Hobdy will assist.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, in Brownfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 17, 1906, in McLennan County. She married James Thomas Wilson on Jan. 14, 1931, in Snyder. He died Jan. 27, 1974. She attended Scurry County schools. She moved to the Union Community in 1944. She was a Baptist. A son, James L. Wilson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Laurence of Brownfield and Lloyd of Lubbock; two daughters, Lois Harvell of Andrews and LaQuita Cargill of Brownfield; a sister, Thelma BIair of Sweetwater; 16 grandchildren;
37 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
