Charles H. Hipple, 88 of 307 Coble, local resident since 1933, died at 1:30 a.m. today at Magic Plains Nursing Home.

A member of the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge of Cushing, Okla., and Scottish Rite Shrine, Guthrie, Okla., Hipple was retired.

Funeral services are scheduled at 4 p.m. Saturday from First Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor, officiating.

Graveside rites at Highland Park Cemetery will be under the auspices of Isom Lodge, 1242 A.F. and A.M. Interment will be directed by Ed Brown, Funeral Director.

Members of the Masonic Lodge are requested to meet at the Temple at 3 p.m. prior to service time.

Surviving are the widow, Nellie; two daughters, Mrs. George Self, Mrs. James Word of Borger; two brothers, Percy A. of Atlanta, Ga., Paul of Terrace, Ill.; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

SUMTER, S.C. - Services for Mrs. Nellie Alice Hipple, 94, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. George Reutenbar, pastor of Faith Covenant Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Hipple died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday in Tuomey Hospital in Sumter.

A native of Van Buren, Ark., Mrs. Hipple had been a Borger resident for 45 years.

She was a charter member of Faith Covenant Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Josiah Bartlett Chapter, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Hipple is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Self of Borger and Mrs. James Word of Amarillo; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hipple was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H., who died in March, 1965.
