Funeral services for Charles L. Homesley were held at 3 p.m. yesterday in the Church of Christ, second and Deahl, with Ernest McCoy, minister, officiating.

Fifty-nine year-old Homesley died at 5:30 p.m. Friday en route to the North Plains hospital after suffering a heart attack in his home at 705 W. Monroe.

A member of the Church of Christ, he was an employee of the Plains Plant of the Phillips Petroleum Co. and had been a resident of Borger for the past five years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C.L. Homesley; two sons, Lawrence E., Borger; and A.D., with the U.S. Navy stationed in New York City; a brother, Luther Homesley, El Reno, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Ben Powell, El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Ab Miller, Dallas.

Interment was in the Highland Park cemetery under the direction of the Minton Funeral Home.

Active casketbearers were Junior Gordon, Doc Whitely, Morris Cooper, Frank Tipton, Wilfred Wilcox, Clifton Hoff.

Mrs. Elizabeth Homesley, 84, died Sunday. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Gardner Street Church of Christ, Gary Dennis, minister of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Mrs. Homesley had lived here since 1943. She was born in Weatherford. She was a member of the Gardner Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence E. of Borger and Aubrey of Long Beach, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Haywood of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Lena Wehunt of Clinton, S.C., and Mrs. [B]essie Huff of Fort Worth; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
