When Clara Angelin Hill was born on June 16, 1896, in Upshur, Texas, her father, John, was 29, and her mother, Lina, was 29. She had eight sons and two daughters with Silas Watkins. She died on August 16, 1965, in Brownfield, Texas, at the age of 69, and was buried there.
