Earl Wayne Laningham, 72, of 810 Bagwell, died Sunday morning at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.
He had been a resident of Borger since 1927. He was retired assistant manager of Southwestern Public Service company, a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Isom Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille of the home; on son, Dr. Earl Laningham of Cedar Edge, Colo.; one brother, Raymond of Ft. Worth; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with the Dr. W.A. Appling, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, directed by Minton Mortuary.
Pallbearers are Harold Bishop, Jack Knight, O.B. Hunt, Bob Takewell, Fritz Thompson, Leonard Riley, Don Baker and Charles Cuthbertson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Southwestern Public Service Company.

Lucille Laningham, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 1996.
Private memorial services will be later. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mrs. Laningham was born in Colorado City. She had been a longtime Borger resident before moving to Amarillo 10 years ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Borger. She worked in ladies' wear sales for many years before her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Laningham, in 1974.
Survivors include two brothers, Dr. Jim Williams of Cookeville, Tenn., and Dr. John Williams of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas 79109.
The body will not be available for viewing.
