*Obituary
Mrs. Mattie Long, 44, 109 Coble street, died in a local hospital at 5:45 a.m. today following a short illness.
Besides her husband, D.B. Long, she is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Long; her mother, Mrs. J.E. Johnson, Hugo, Oklahoma; four sisters, Miss Mildred Johnson, Hugo, Okla.; Mrs. Ruby Moyer, Marshall, Tex.; Mrs. Bessie Gaylor, Commerce, Tex., and Mrs. Thelma Wright of Amarillo; two brothers, Carl Johnson, who is serving with the U.S. Marines in China and Ralph Johnson of Hugo, Okla.
Mr. and Mrs. Long came to Borger last summer from Marshall, Texas, where they had lived for several years. Mr. Long is employed by C.E. Ruby Wholesale Company.
The body is in state at Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Hill of Amarillo officiating and interment in Highland Park cemetery will be under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw.
