Services for Imogene Chance, 76, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Broadway Church of Christ with Joe R. Barnett, minister, officiating and ministers Harvie Pruitt and Lynn Harms assisting.
Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
She was born May 23, 1924, in Chalk. She married Edgar E. Chance Sr., on Jan. 10, 1945, in Lubbock.
She graduated from Paducah High School and Texas Tech University.
She was a dietitian at Lubbock General Hospital and Shannon Hospital in San Angelo. She also taught school in Sudan, Lubbock Christian School, Ralls, Estacado, Mackenzie Junior High and Matthews Junior High. She retired in 1985.
She was active in the Study Club of Sudan and Ralls and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma for almost 50 years. She was a life member of Texas State Teachers Association and Retired Teachers Association. She was a charter member of Lubbock Christian University Associates. She was a 40-year member of Broadway Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edgar Jr. of Waco and Sidney of Lubbock; two sisters, Lorene Yowell of Culver City, Calif., and LaVerne Creamer of Paducah; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
